Varicocele

• Dilatation of the pampiniform plexus of the spermatic cord
• Painless, paratesticular mass “bag of worms”, decompresses when supine
• 95% are left sided
• Rare before 10 yo
• May cause decreased sperm motility/conc.
• Rx: ligation of the spermatic vein
