Proteus Syndrome
- asymmetric overgrowth; hemihypertrophy; hamartomous tumors
- generalized thickening of skin and subcutaneous tissue
- skin lesions: linear verrucous epidermal nevi, shagreen patches,
hemangiomas, lipomas, varicosities
- characteristic warty, hyperplastic plantar overgrowth termed 'moccasin
lesion'
- craniofacial: macrodactyly, macrocephaly
- MR may be present, but is rare
- Most cases are sporadic
