Protein C & Protein S Deficiency

• Vitamin K dependent
• Protein S is a cofactor for Protein C
• Homozygotes for Protein C and S deficiency present with Neonatal purpura fulminans, or in utero CNS and ophthalmic thrombotic events
• Acquired: Liver disease, DIC, inflammatory state, post-op, OCP, pregnancy, etc…
