Polyarteritis Nodosa
- Vasculitis of the medium sized vessels, usually at the site of
bifurcations
- Characterized by aneurysm formation
- Multiorgan involvement: CNS, Cardiac, GI, Renal, and Skin are most common
- Can present with a wide variety of symptoms: FUO, renovascular disease
with hypertension or hematuria, abdominal pain, arthritis, encephalopathy or
peripheral neuropathy
- Diagnosis based on angiogram showing aneurysms, or biopsy
