Where the UA and UV lines should be

UA line:
High line, above diaphragm T6-T9.  Calc 3(wt)+ (9 or 10) cm.
(assoc w/ HTN, incr risk of IVH)
Low line below L3-L4. (renal arteries at L2)
(assoc w/ incr risk for lower extrem vasospasm)

UV line:
Above diaphragm. Calc 1/2 UAC + 1 cm
Complications: portal vein thrombosis, which can lead to Cavernous transformation of the portal vein
