Laryngomalacia
#1 cause of congenital stridor
Congenital weakness of the laryngeal cartilage
Can affect epiglottis and/or arytenoids
Infants typically present with inspiratory stridor or congestion; airway opens during exhalation and closes during inhalation
May present at birth but more commonly 4-6 weeks

Symptoms often worsen over initial 6 months as airflow increases
Nearly all cases resolve without treatment
Placing infant prone relieves obstruction
Surgical options include tracheostomy or supraglottoplasty
Can be associated with GER
