- 80% present in the 1st 6 months
- Imperfect aqueous humor drainage mechanism
- High Intraocular pressure causes the signs/symptoms:
- Tearing/Photophobia
- Enlarged globe (Buphophthalmos)
- Corneal edema/clouding
- Visual Loss
- +/- conjunctival injection
- 70% Bilateral
- TREATMENT: REFER!!
Look for associated cause:
- Sturge-Weber
- NF
- Retinoblastoma
- Trisomy 21
- JIA
- Congenital rubella
